Mark is the Director of Risk Management for MGM Resorts & Casinos. He’s a Michigan native, but has lived in Las Vegas for over 25 years and absolutely loves living there.
He’s had some incredible experiences in his career. He loves his work, and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with students at UNLV and wherever else he can.
This is my interview with Mark Habersack, Director of Risk Management for MGM Resorts and Casinos. I first met Mark over 15 years ago when he was working at McCarran Airport. He's a super nice guy and has some great stories to tell.
I really enjoyed my conversation with Mark. What a nice guy!
As the Director of Risk Management for MGM Resorts and Casinos, he’s experience a lot of interesting and exciting things in his career.
He’s very involved in the local chapter of RIMS, where he’s currently serving as the Chapter Delegate, and is the Western Regional Conference Committee Chair for this year’s conference.
Mark is a fellow with the Claim Litigation Management Alliance.
He’s also very active in promoting risk management, serving as a mentor for students at UNLV, and also in his work with the disadvantaged and minority-owned business community in the Las Vegas area. In 2018 alone, Mark contributed over 500 hours in volunteer efforts.
Mark’s hobbies include cross country motorcycling and his Gold Wing (no, he’s not a Harley guy). He also loves taking cruises, and attending as many shows and events as he can in Las Vegas.
Mark is a super nice guy. Our industry is lucky to have such a good representative.
